All classes:

I will be collecting your class notes from today for tomorrow, as well as a definition of one literary technique, that I assigned you to find out about at the beginning of class today. The definition you encounter should relate to literature, so, if you have "repetition," for example, you should explain how that relates to literature, and not just what it is.

You do not need to use the literary technique I assigned you in order to complete the rest of this homework assignment.

First and second period:
Use REAP to write about one specific literary technique used in Act 1 of "Fences."

Fifth and ninth period:
Read chapter 4 of TKAM. Use REAP to write about one specific literary technique in this chapter.

Seventh and eighth period:
Use REAP to write about one specific literary technique in the "1921" chapter of Sula.
