9th grade (except for ninth period)
Cut one-third of the lines in Act 3, scene 3, Act 3, scene 4, and Act 3, scene 5 of "Romeo and Juliet" without destroying the scenes or losing the main idea. Write a one-paragraph introduction defending your choices.

10th grade, and 9th period:
Do the same assignment as ninth grade, but go on to create a mini-prompt-book of the scenes, showing the emotions and staging of the characters, but eliminating a sketch or costuming details.
