Ninth grade:
Write an essay comparing imagery of night in Act 3, scene 2 of "Romeo and Juliet" to imagery of night in "West Side Story." Use at least six examples of literary elements, techniques or devices, and compare them carefully.

Finish your Journal #3 if necessary; I will collect them on Monday.

Tenth grade:
Write a five paragraph essay comparing and contrasting imagery of night in "West Side Story" to that in Act 3, scene 2 of "Romeo and Juliet." Use your vacation essay, and use at least six examples of literary techniques, devices, and elements, and compare them carefully.
