Exceptional Performances of Shakespeare today
Today was our first day of Shakespearean presentations, in room 210, with various classes as audiences. Certain students deserve special mention for the effort and ability they demonstrated with the material.
Kiara Page was an incredible, yet completely credible Juliet. She used gestures, vocal inflections, and movement around the stage to draw the audience into her performance. When asked how she'd done such a fine job, Ms. Page replied, "I forced my brothers to practice with me all of the time during the break."
Other students whose performances were exceptional were: Madeline Acevedo, Arianna Fearon, Shanea Brathwaite, Crystal David, D'Andra Howell, Camilla Pierre Pierre, Dequan Williams, Yanique Boswell, Debralee Brown, Kimberlyn Brooks, and, after some coaxing, Igwe Nwankwor.
