Homework for Jan 18 break, Regents Exam Week
Ninth grade classes (except for ninth period):
1) Be ready for your tableaux vivants presentations on January 30. They will be done during the first 25 minutes of class.
2) Make a chain-reaction diagram (a flowchart) of the events which lead to the disaster of 3.1. Think backwards as well as forwards-- what's the catalyst (the causative event) that sparks Romeo and Juliet to meet? What causes them problems in their relationship. Be detailed in your diagram.
3) Read 3.2
4) Complete the "Night" thought web handout (16 ideas).
5) Use 8 of your ideas to write a poem or paragraph, using descriptive language, that relates to night.
Ninth period homework:
1) Finish reading 3.2
2) Write a long paragraph explaining at least three examples of images of night from 3.2.
3) Read and summarize through 3.5
Tenth grade homework:
1) Finish reading 3.2
2) Make a graph showing how many times the word "night" and images relating to it appear in 3.2.
3) Write a 3 paragraph essay explaining the significance of the imagery of night in 3.2.
4) Read 3.3-3.5 and summarize the events which take place.
