Homework for April 14

All ninth grade classes:
Bring in YOUR favorite poem, AND your character's favorite poem. You must write a poem in the voice of your character for Thursday.

First and second period:
In addition to the previous assignment, read "We Wear the Mask." Who in "Fences" might like this poem? Write a paragraph explaining why.

Seventh and eighth grade:
Write a poem that develops YOUR setting -- physical, social, and historical, in order to characterize YOU.
